it gets worse.

Just got a letter in the mail--

I've also been denied disability/ssi assistance.

so

there's nothing left to hope for.

no money left.

I don't know what else to do.

besides sleep.

no, no, no, no, no. Do not give up! You need to go talk to your social worker at the hospital where you are treated and ask about options. There are lots of them. Drug companies give free treatments. There are other options. NEVER GIVE UP!

Plus SS ALWAYS denies on the first try. They want you to go away. Just don't go away.

I don't work for Livestrong. I only know they offer assistance and I donate so I'd like someone to use their assistance.

What total bs...contact your congressional representative. They have staff that provide constituent services and can do a good job cutting through the red tape.

No. You fight that. You challenge them. You'll get it.

Don't Quit.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you are trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
-Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a person turns about,
When they might have won had they stuck it out
,Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
-You may succeed with another blow

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out......
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
.........It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

:) :) :)There are lots of prayers with you.

Rest a day or so. Then perhaps it is time to get pissed off. Many, many, people have been in your shoes. You are not the first, nor the only one.

You can't control some stuff that happens to you, but you can control how you react. Rest just a bit. Then take that drive that you used to channel into your art and direct it at each problem. First, ssi (they deny everything the first time--go challenge them) then getting better.

Treat these like school projects, or work assignments, or whatever you've been successful at in the past. And you'll be successful again.

So, cry for a day or two. Then get freakin' mad and focused. Not much you can lose. You can only gain.

Best,

Someone already said this but i know for a fact that it is true. I used to work for legal services helping people get disability. They always deny it the first time. Appeal it and you will win and get the money retroactively to when you first applied and were denied.

I filed 3 appeals with my health care provider to get ER bills covered. I managed to get a $5,000 bill down to $600 that came out of my pocket. They just want to scare you away. You have to be persistent, even though it means lots of paperwork and agonizingly depressing phone calls.
