wow...that video is a little too familiar. thank god it didn't take the tragic turn i kept foreseeing. it seems that the supposed trivialities of life are really the things that matter most-- the phone calls, the emails, the handmade gifts, the friends we have, the family we're surrounded by, the love we experience.
guys like that are one in a million. cancer is like a repellent to lots of people. I lost lots of friends and the very guy I was with for 3.5 years over it.
Very very sweet.....it's nice to be reminded that there are people out there as supportive to others through trials like that.
keep_dreamingr story through watching the world of jenks. I wasnt sure if this was a true story so I decided to do some research and I found your blog. My boyfriend had cancer and has told me stories about how it was finding out and the chemo treatments but never close to as much detail as your blog is. Since I found your blog this afternoon I have not been able to stop reading it. Your story is incredible and it is amazing how strong you were threw the whole processes. I was wondering if you had any idea how told the people were in this video. It was so touching<3. Also, onw of the things that my boyfriend said was hardest about cancer was how many people left him and he lost conact with. There were many excuses like they didnt know or they didnt know how to stay in contact, he only stayed ib contact with 2 people really. I met when he had finished treatments and was just about finished with major doctor appts. I was wondering what was the hardest part for you besides not being able to finish school and designing as soon as you hoped. Finally, in a few years i want to find a career as an pediatric oncologist nurse. What do you recommend i could do to be the best nurse possible to these children? My boyfriend said ro always be gentle because one the most painful things was when a nurse was careless and had to consitantly poke around with needles to find the right spots. Whats your opinion of what the children need or would make things easier on them? I would love to get your answers and opinions so if you could email me (jmhurley14@yahoo.com) i would really loce to hear from you and know more about your experience(: (btw i think its incredible that what gave you hope to keep fighting were for the people around you and your unbelievable strong for it!!)
I am an artist and writer diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. This is an attempt to document my process and provide inspiration for other twenty-somethings who refuse to go the way of headscarves and hospital gowns. I mean, really? Cancer is fucking hilarious.
