I would def. try to find an affordable way to see an OBGYN? Just to make sure. August is close but not that close. Call me if you need anything. Love you

I agree with the other comments. Get it checked. Sometimes you just have to even for peace of mind if nothing else.

I had those same exact symptoms the first year I started my period at age 13. I would get frequent stomach cramps that I later found out were just really bad menstrual cramps. I experienced everything you wrote, the diarrhea, the fever, everything. It was all due to the pain from my menstraul cramps, because of my first period. Which you said, you had your first period in three years after you experienced all those symptoms. Basically what I'm saying is, all those symptoms just sound like your body getting used to your period coming back, and I don't think it has anything to do with your cancer. So if my word means anything to you, I'm certain you're going to be alright, and that this isn't directly cancer related (however, I do not have a PhD).

Damn! It's a real trip dealing with cancer and always wondering if it is indeed your body dealing with normal "ills" or if it's the damn cancer acting up.
Crazy thing... I went through almost this exact set of symptoms as you described, a few days ago, with my period at the end! I'm on my fourth cycle (of bleeding) after being menopausal (thanks to a shot called Lupron), so that the chemo wouldn't attack my ovaries. It's an exciting thing now, having a period.
Anyways, I never know how to react. I always don't want to overreact, I always want to think that I'm a "normal" person experiencing a "normal" cold, flu, bug, what have you, and yet, it can be hard to convince myself. If there's a good free clinic, might not be a bad idea... it might make you feel better.
Thanks for your blog, I've been loving it! Good luck in your new place. I just celebrated my 30th bday in NYC, Brooklyn was fantastic.

you are entitled to family health plus in ny if not medicaid. ny's family health plus is much easier o qualify for and while it sucks, it's better than nothing and it's free (maybe a five dollar co-pay). my g.p. is a guy neamed arnold berlin. he's pretty harsh but very caring and he would charge you VERY little for an appt. even if you didn't have insurance (like under $50; he's a self-professed socialist).he's in park slope on 13th street. yelp him; he just changed locations so call before going. for family health plus, if you live in brooklyn, you'll need a utility bill or a letter from your rommate if they hold the lease and get someone to write you a work letter saying you babysit for $160 a week (because they prefer that you make something i have found; i had to lie up, meaning lie about making more incme than i did at the time when i applied). find out online what the income restrictions are per month and don't go over them. you can't have more than $2000 in any bank account and it unfortunately sounds like that won't be a proble. i don't think they care whether you have a pre-existing condition because it's like medicaid. free dental too and eyes. you choose an hmo. the office to apply within is at 35 4th ave., i think the corss street is pacific. just go in and tell them you want family health plus and they will send you back to a rep. find out which hmo is connected to the best onc. for your conditions though. so go down find out what hmos they deal with, ask for the book of providers for each hmo connected with family health plus and then choose that way. http://www.health.state.ny.us/health_care/family_health_plus/
regarding work, i'm gonna find out if my friend who has an agent who gets her tailoring work for print photo shoots and fashion shows can give me contact info. good luck honey. you seem amazing. smart, witty, inspired style, compassionate. hang in there. finally, please erase this once you read it if you intend to apply. no need to have a "paper trail" of this if you do apply.
