"How astonishingly (here I must premise that illness, as far as I can judge in so short a time, has relieved my mind of a load of deceptive thoughts and images, and makes me perceive things in a truer light),--how astonishingly does the chance of leaving the world impress a sense of its natural beauties upon us! I think of green fields; I muse with the greatest affection on every flower I have known from my infancy--their shapes and colours are as new to me as if I had just created them with a superhuman fancy. It is because they are connected with the most thoughtless and the happiest moments of our lives. I have seen foreign flowers in hothouses, of the most beautiful nature, but I do not care a straw for them. The simple flowers of our Spring are what I want to see again."

Keats 1821

I think you've shown us all that you can do anything you set your mind to, despite the gauntlet you've had to run... continue to run... Bravo!! I look forward to your encore.

The new moon (Feb 21) is a perfect time to reflect on new beginnings...and plant a seed.
Aloha (that first comment is me too)

Hi Kaylin, just checking in to say hello. I have a lot of complaints about the health system here in Australia, but am humbled by your American experience with health insurance (or lack of). I must remind myself how good I really do have it. Living where there are so many millions of people needing care must be eye-popping. I hope you are finding your feet since leaving your Betsey job. I love the plaid outfit. I am wearing all my heels for the next week or so before more surgery. I will miss them! Love and thoughts to you across the miles, Juanita xx
